DCIS will be
hosting a fall Scholastic Book Fair with many popular books at reasonable
prices. The Fair will stay open until 7 p.m. on nights of student-led
conferences and the Halloween Middle School Dance, October 22-24.  The Fair will be open all day long to
students. Our DCIS Library receives many free books based on total sales at the
Book Fair. Your purchases help re-new our Library.

new DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: THE THIRD
WHEEL will be available for pre-sale
through the book fair. It will be shipped to our school on November 13 when
this new book is scheduled to go on sale. It will be paperback and cost $8.49.
Pre-order forms are available in the Library or through students.

There will be several new titles in series by Rick Riordan
(Mark of Athena), James Patterson (Maximum Ride), Chris Lynch (Vietnam), Haddix
(The Missing), Dashner (INFINITY RING), Paula Morris (Ruined), Big Nate titles
and other popular books.

A number of DCIS students will
be staffing the Book Fair ready to help parents and students choose books. We’d
love some parent volunteers, too. Come check out our Book Fair. We will accept
credit cards or checks made out to DCIS.

In addition to the Book Fair at
DCIS, parents can shop online at scholastic.com/fair (look for DCIS
under Colorado/Denver) before and after the Book Fair from 10/18 – 11/7. All
sales through the website link will be credited to DCIS. Your purchases will be
shipped to DCIS for pick-up.  This could be
a great opportunity to shop for the holidays. If you have any questions,
