Some school supplies are for individual use, and some are pooled for classroom use, as indicated in the following supply list:
Students can bring in their classroom supplies on the first day of school to give to the respective teachers, or parents/guardians can drop off these supplies in the main office between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. the week before school starts.
Either way, it’s helpful to label which supplies go to which classroom. If you’re dropping off the supplies, be sure to indicate your student’s name, grade and advisor name as well.
Many students find it helpful to label their notebooks or binders by class. When using a three-ring binder, a zippered bag with three holes that can be kept in the binder is useful for holding pens, pencils, highlighters, erasers, etc.
Because passing periods are only 5 minutes long, some students find they don’t have enough time to get to their locker in between classes. Organizing the supplies needed by blue day and green day can be helpful, as students need only carry in their backpacks their green day supplies on green days and their blue day supplies on blue days, which will lighten their backpack load somewhat. They would carry both sets of supplies on white days.
