Social Studies Teacher
Gerardo Muñoz is a longtime teacher at DCIS, where he teaches AP World History and a variety of social studies electives. He welcomes full community participation in his classroom.
He has undergraduate degrees in history and Latin American Studies from the University of Colorado–Boulder and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He has served as adjunct professor of education at the University of Colorado–Denver and at the Teacher’s Institute at La Academia.
Gerardo is an alumnus of Denver Public Schools, having graduated from Manual High School. He has traveled in Latin America and Western Europe. He is married and has a daughter, and his hobbies include reading and sports.
