Are you interested in meeting other kids from New York, California, Colorado, Texas, Ohio and beyond to solve problems like hunger, poverty, and inequality? If so, join us for the International Studies Schools Network Student Design Collaborative. We will meet virtually for one hour on Tuesday afternoons from April 6th to May 25th.
The Student Design Collaborative has spots reserved for DCIS Baker students to participate in this amazing experience provided by the International Studies Schools Network problem-solve with students from across America and Brazil.
Registration for our Spring 2021 Student Design Collaborative is open!
Seats are filling up and we would love to have students join! During this experience, students will work with other ISSN students to use the design thinking process to address a globally significant issue. Topics will be selected by student teams and will support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Project examples may address topics like poverty, hunger, health, inequality, etc.
Our Spring 2021 Student Design Collaborative will be facilitated by ISSN consultant Honor Moorman. Honor will be hosting two student groups, one for students in grades 4-8 and a second for students in grades 9-12:
We ask that each student participant has a teacher sponsor to help with registration and to serve as our point of contact. Importantly, teachers are more than welcome to (but not required) shadow students and learn how to use design thinking in instruction! The deadline for registration is Friday, March 26thor until filled, whichever comes first.
