Student involvement in sports and clubs is high. DCIS offers seven sports for middle school students. Although DCIS does not have its own high school teams, students can play for nearby West High School, their designated neighborhood school or another DPS school.
While some clubs continue from year to year, others come and go depending on student interest, as students are the driving force behind creating and sustaining clubs. There are around 20 clubs each year, catering to a wide variety of interests and talents.
