Moss Marsh Pierce

Mx. Marsh Pierce, a.k.a. Profe Mapi, was born in North Carolina and spent their childhood between their parents in North and South Carolina. They went to Francis Marion University in Florence, SC to study Spanish, including a six month stay in Cuernavaca, Morelos, México where they became fluent in the language and in love with the culture. They continued their studies of Spanish Language Acquisition at Valdosta State University (M.Ed.) and Auburn University (Ed.S).

They started teaching in Georgia at Colquitt County HS where they gained a passion for serving multilingual learners and supporting undocumented youth. For the past seven years, they have been in the Atlanta metro teaching Spanish and coaching Esports. Last semester, they moved to Denver and worked as a long term sub at John F Kennedy HS until the end of the school year. They are very excited to be at DCIS to teach Spanish and continue their journey as an Esports coach!
