We are excited to announce a new addition to our school’s extracurricular offerings – the first-ever DCIS lacrosse team!
Lacrosse is a dynamic and engaging sport that promotes teamwork, physical fitness, and personal growth. We believe that introducing lacrosse to our school will not only provide a fun and challenging activity for our students but also create a sense of community among our student body.
Details about the lacrosse team:
Open to All Skill Levels: Whether your child is already a lacrosse player or have never played before, they are invited to join the team! Our coaches are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can learn and thrive.
Practices: We will have regular practices to develop skills, teamwork, and strategy. We will meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:45pm- 5:00pm outside (weather permitting).
Equipment: We will provide the required equipment! We are committed to making the sport accessible to all students so please let us know any concerns about obtaining equipment, please let us know, and we will do our best to assist.
Provided: Lacrosse sticks, balls, helmets, gloves, pads, and eyewear (women).
Bring: Sweatpants until March, cleats when we are outside, tennis shoes and shorts when we are inside, water bottle filled with water.
How to Join: Interested students can reach out to Coach Connor Saller in room 222 or email Coach Elise at elise_koehl@dpsk12.net. Details about tryouts and practice schedules will be shared with those who express interest and posted online here.
Parental Involvement: We encourage parents to support their children’s involvement in the lacrosse team. If you have experience with lacrosse or would like to volunteer, please let us know. Your support is invaluable to the success of our team.
